Glued beam is produced from coniferous timber that has been dried up to 10-12% of humidity. Dried boards are planed in order to reach exact geometry, sorted and glued into the beam. Quantity of the boards may differ from 2 to 5 pieces. This enables the company to produce sufficiently “thick” (up to 200 mm) glued beam. Moisture resistant polyurethane glue of Class D-4 is used for gluing.   

Advantages of glued beam houses:

• walls of glued beam wooden houses do not crack because timber is dried up to 10-12% of humidity. This differs from the solid wood, the humidity of which amounts at least to 25-30% and results in the cracks,
• production and construction period of glued beam wooden houses are significantly shorter,
• industrial production of all details including overlay beams, columns and other elements ensures great precision;
• glued timber retains its geometrical parameters, does not rotate or bend and does not “settle”, therefore no need exists to wait until the house settles down – decoration may be done straight after the construction. This shortens the construction time,
• optimal humidity of timber does not create conditions for any kind of funguses or bacteria,
• deep and massive foundation is not necessary – glued beam houses are much lighter than stone and brick constructions.

    
Price of wooden house or bathhouse ranges from 1000 to 3000 LTL per 1 sq.m. of the floor. It depends on the decoration material. The price includes glued beam walls with erection, floor, roof with its facing, glued beam windows, interior and exterior doors.
One may assess a value of 1 sq.m. of a wall, too. For example, the price of the wall made from glued 86 mm thickness beam and crossed in conformity of a given project would be 140 LTL/sq.m., and in case of 130 mm thickness beam – 210 LTL/sq.m. When assessing the construction of an insulated wall: 130 mm beam + “Steicoflex” 100 mm wood fiber + interior decoration – facing plate – the price is as low as 270 LTL/sq.m. (with 4.1 thermal resistance of the wall).
